Andron Facilities Management has proudly signed the Age-friendly Employer Pledge, a nationwide programme run by the Centre for Ageing Better. By signing the pledge, Andron is demonstrating a commitment to older workers and maintaining an age-friendly workplace.
As an age-friendly employer, Andron is committed to creating a workplace that values the skills and contributions of workers of all ages. This includes encouraging career development at all ages, offering flexible work arrangements, ensuring everyone has the health support they need and promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.
According to the Centre for Ageing Better, although more people work later in life, employment rates drop after age 55 as older workers often face prejudice and are overlooked for roles. On top of that, over half of older workers stop working before the state pension age. These statistics show it is more important than ever for employers to create age-friendly workplaces that support all employees’ diverse needs and abilities.
