After more than a year of focused effort, Andron has been awarded Gold in the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS), the highest honour for organisations that go above and beyond in supporting the Armed Forces community. This achievement marks a significant step up from our Silver status last year and reflects the work we’ve put in across the business to strengthen our commitment to veterans, reservists, cadet forces, and military families.
Reaching Gold has been a team effort. Over the past year, we have increased our support for local cadet units through fundraising and made Armed Forces awareness more visible across the company. We have also worked closely with our partners in Defence Relationship Management and Highland RFCA, whose guidance has been instrumental to our progress.
We are proud to employ people with military backgrounds, and we benefit every day from the skills, experience and professionalism they bring. Reservists and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers at Andron receive 10 days of paid leave for training each year, along with additional unpaid leave when mobilised, while maintaining continuous service with us.
Our commitment also extends to the next generation. We support the cadet movement through practical development opportunities, such as CV reviews and work experience, and we work with the Career Transition Partnership and Forces Families Jobs to support service leavers and military families into civilian careers.
To strengthen connections across the business, our internal Armed Forces Network brings colleagues together through shared experience and peer support.
We’re proud to be a place where the Armed Forces community can thrive, both in and out of uniform.
