No one should have to be homeless. It’s a simple idea, and it’s why Team Andron, along with friends and family, are lacing up their trainers for the Edinburgh Marathon and Half Marathon this May.
Taking place on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th May, some are running the full marathon, others the half, each doing their part to make a difference.
With just 8 weeks to go, training is ramping up. That means early mornings, longer weekend runs and plenty of miles being clocked up as race day gets closer. The commitment is real.
They’re running in support of Social Bite, who provide daily free food through their cafés, run the Social Bite Village in Granton supporting people from homelessness into their own home, and deliver the Jobs First programme, helping people into meaningful employment.
It’s a cause Andron knows well. Our relationship with Social Bite goes back to 2020, when we became one of the first private companies in the UK to employ someone experiencing homelessness, eventually becoming a pilot employer for Jobs First, which now sits at the heart of our Inclusive Futures Programme. Since then, our support has grown to include corporate donations, fundraising, Christmas volunteering and co-sponsoring one of the Social Bite Village houses.
And as they do every year, Team Andron are finding new ways to support Social Bite, this time by taking on the Edinburgh Marathon.
The team are fundraising ahead of race day. You can follow their progress and support the fundraiser here: https://www.justgiving.com/page/team-andron-2026
