As part of our People of Andron series, we’ve been delighted to welcome Jordan Higgins to our London team this year.
As our new Business Development Manager, he’s been focused on building new client relationships and introducing more organisations across the capital to the way we approach cleaning and workplace services.
He has spent over 10 years working alongside facilities teams, focusing on understanding what clients deal with on a day-to-day basis and finding better ways to support them. Every client and every site is different, and Jordan’s enjoying the challenge of helping to deliver smarter, demand-led cleaning models that work better for clients and their spaces.
Read on to hear about his background, why he chose Andron, and how he’s helping us grow across London.
Please introduce yourself.
I’m originally from New Zealand and have been in the UK for nearly eight years now. I spent over 10 years working in the waste management sector across both countries, a lot of it alongside facilities management teams.
I joined Andron three months ago as a Business Development Manager, focusing on building new client relationships and growing our brand. It’s gone by fast, but it’s been a great start.
Why Business Development?
I’ve always enjoyed building genuine relationships, not just selling a service, but understanding what clients are dealing with on a day-to-day basis and working with them to find better solutions.
Problem-solving has always been a big driver for me. Every client and every site is different, and I like the challenge of figuring out how we can make a real difference, whether that’s through sustainability improvements, better service delivery, or more efficient cleaning models.
Why Andron?
One of the things that stood out was the way Andron has grown organically. The reputation speaks for itself, and you can see the pride that runs through the teams, from Cheryl leading from the top to the teams working on-site. I’m not saying it makes my job easy, but it certainly helps when you know the service side is already strong.
Joining Andron has been a refreshing change. You can feel straight away that it’s a family-owned business. Everyone is connected, and you’re encouraged to share your ideas and get involved. We’re all working together to make a difference to the clients we support, and that makes it a great environment to be part of.
What excites you most about your role?
Andron’s growing fast, especially in London, and it’s exciting to be part of that. Clients are really starting to see the difference our on-demand cleaning model can make, moving away from traditional fixed schedules and towards more tailored, efficient solutions.
We have opportunities opening up across sectors, from large manufacturing sites to managing agents and blue-chip clients. It’s a good feeling introducing Andron to new organisations and showing them what’s possible when cleaning is done differently.
Proudest moment at Andron so far?
It’s been great getting out and meeting clients, having real conversations about how we can help make their spaces better and more sustainable.
Being involved in the Leadership Development Academy has also been a highlight. It’s given me a broader view of the cleaning industry and a lot of practical tools to bring into my role.
