We’re pleased to share that Andron has been named a finalist at the 2026 Kimberly-Clark Professional Golden Service Awards across three categories: Social Impact, Retail/Shopping Malls over 100,000 m² (Silverburn), and Office areas below 10,000 m² (40 Torphichen Street, Edinburgh).
The Kimberly-Clark Professional Gold Service Awards are prestigious, biennial awards in the UK & Ireland, recognising excellence in the cleaning and facilities management (FM) industry, celebrating individuals and teams who maintain high standards in various sectors like office environments, retail, and manufacturing, with judging overseen by the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc). Here are some of the highlights from our submissions:
Social Impact
In FY24, our activity created £850,000 in verified social value, measured by Planet Mark through the National TOMs Framework. That value came through investment in wellbeing and training, volunteering and local projects, charitable giving, environmental action with supply partners, and targeted spend with socially responsible suppliers.
A significant part of this comes through Inclusive Futures, our programme supporting people facing barriers to employment – including those experiencing homelessness, refugees and care leavers. Since launching in 2020, we’ve placed 26 people into employment, including 13 through Social Bite’s Jobs First initiative. The programme has expanded through partnerships with Drive Forward Foundation, Tent UK, The Passage and Enable, and this year alone, a further nine individuals have secured roles.
We’re also embedding social value into everyday procurement decisions. On Thank Your Cleaner Day, we gifted Amplify Goods Solidarity Soap to cleaners across our sites, which created £10,500 in social value, avoided 970 plastic bottles and supported 10.7 hours of paid work. We’ve also introduced Serious Tissue paper products within client sites, helping fund the planting of 6,226 trees. These aren’t one-off initiatives – they’re about making social value part of how we operate day-to-day.
Retail/Shopping Malls over 100,000 m² – Silverburn
Our partnership with Silverburn has been in place since February 2023, and the priority from the start has been maintaining consistent standards in a demanding, high-footfall environment. Following our resourcing remodel, cleaning audit results reached 100% and have been maintained ever since, supported by a stable team and clear on-site leadership. Retention now stands at 97%, which has been crucial to keeping the service consistent for the centre and its visitors.
We take a data-led approach in the washrooms, using live information to guide where teams focus during the day. Alongside the day-to-day service, the partnership has supported Silverburn’s wider sustainability and community priorities, including improved recycling performance and activity linked to the centre’s Eco Hub and local engagement work.
Office areas below 10,000 m² – 40 Torphichen Street, Edinburgh
When we took over the cleaning contract at 40 Torphichen Street, we started with just two days’ notice. Standards were brought back quickly, and the service moved to a visible daytime model that matches how the building is actually used. The focus from day one has been delivering a consistently high standard across shared spaces and building a service that building management and tenants can rely on with confidence.
Thanks to everyone who’s made this recognition possible – the teams on site delivering the work every day, the people supporting them across the business, and everyone involved in our social value work throughout the year. We’re looking forward to the next part of the judging process.
